I am thinking of the Summit Razor SS

I am just wondering if any of you have any experience with this stand. I am looking for a climber and I really like this but was wondering if you have anything against or for it. Anyinfo would be nice. Thanks.

I have a razor x5 and love it. Its not the newest one but they are about the same. I love the fact that you can fold the bar underneath your seat if you like.;)

I have the Viper X5 and I looked at the Razor when I bought it. This same bar that ducsauce speaks of is precisely why I didn't buy it. That's the weak part of the stand, IMO. If you don't get it latched properly, or if it gets even slightly bent......it's gonna fail when you put any weight on it.

That's a good point. I've been looking at the Razor SS too and have often wondered myself whether or not that bar is built to last. I know Summit products are, and I wonder that even if the bar is the weak spot, whether or not it is weak enough to truely matter in ourlife time. Good question to ponder.

I don't either. Obviously it works or they wouldn't sell it, but when I looked at it, I just envisioned disaster, if ya catch my drift. So I went w/ the Viper and glad I did. For my own piece of mind.

If it's a SUMMIT you can't go wrong. I speak for myself (and I'm sure there are alot ofothers). I have a Viper and it's perhaps the second best investment I have made besides my bow. Good hunting.
