Piebald deer.

If you killed a piebald (doe or buck) would you mount it?

Maybe not if I knew the price ahead of time. Of course now I need another one to keep him company.

Fieldmouse, I love that photo every time I see it you ole lucky dog...it's awesome.

I absolutely would just like Fieldmouse's full mount or likewise. I hunted a 1.5 year old doe hard and passed some nice bucks hoping to see her. I had her under 100 yards 5 times without ever getting a shot..never saw her again after that season.

I wouldn't kill it just because it was piebald. However if it was a nice buck then yes I would mount it.

I got a small piebald doe two years ago and I got the fur done, looks neat on the wall. I first got it on my Deer Cam a few times then I hunted it, and only it, for about two weeks, off and on until I got a shot.:D:D:D

I shot a young piebald buck a few years ago that was nearly all-white. I took the hide in to get it tanned after I skinned it. However, I had made the mistake of washing the blood off first and then didn't take it to the taxidermist right away. I forgot about it for a couple days and when I took it in, the fur fell off when he was fleshing it. [X(]

He ran me $1200. I got him in the shop 12/31/99.The taxidermist'sNew Years resolution was to not accept any new customers and start reducing the ones he had because he and his wife wanted to retire. He was known to be the best in the tri-state area. In fact he was doing a full mount replica for some museum of the PA State non-typical record. I got to hold the replica rack in my hands. He told meit cost 5k to reproduce.
