Care to post any pics of your archery room?

In light of my current project I'm knee-deep in, I'd like to see how many members we could get to snap some photos of their archery rooms/work areas...

Number one, I'd love to be able to steal/integrate some of your cool ideas if I could...

And Number two, I know I absolutely LOVE seeing other people's stuff like that on here. I can think of when Rob posted some pics of his absolutely georgeous log house on here; how cool was that?

Anyway, if you'd like to share, please feel free...

I'll try to get some pics of mine up soon, even though it's in progress...

Unfortunately, my "archery room" is my kitchen table. Living in an apartment I don't have the space for some such room. I look forward to seeing other's as well. Some guys really have some nifty ideas on decorating "The Man's Room." I, too, would like to steal some ideas, because some day soon......I'll have that house. Good post, Greg.

RE: Care to post any pics of your archery room?

Here's how mine's coming in its beginning stages...

Gotta give props to Huntingnet ya know, with the big sticker on the door and the Huntingnet hat in the upper right-hand corner! ;)

The 2x4 you see on the wall separating the OSD board and the pegboard runs the full length of both walls, and is secured in at every stud with two nails blown in with an air nailer. It'll serve as part of the main support for my countertop, which is currently laying in the next room. I pulled a major coup on that one; went to buy some oak plywood and found a distributor willing to sell to me who normally supplies all the local cabinet makers. I bought a pre-finished maple, cabinet-grade piece of 1/2" plywood and had it ripped in half for my counter. It's absolutely beautiful; I can't wait to get it in there in front of that wood-grain pegboard.

I love being able to hang up all my Seat O' The Pants harnesses and keep them straight and untangled...

Unfortunately, I've got a work trip taking me out of town for the next four days, so I won't be able to get any more done on it fora while. And that's the reason I made this post; hopefully when i get back, I'll have lots of ideas to incorporate before I finish it! :D

Dang it Greg, you're too organized. My archery room is a 10X7 hole in the back of my basement. I'll take a pic later. My clothes are in tubs, some labeled some not. Trash everywhere. My little piece of heaven...lol. My wife has approved an indoor downstairs range. I firgure I can get a 15 yard lane in there, but it's a wreck right now. I have too much stuff, and not just my hunting stuff.

I wish I had an organized area like that, that's my plan, but other household projects are taking precedence. Greg, you and hardcore, have nice areas...way to go.

RE: Care to post any pics of your archery room?

Great thread. I too am looking for ideas. I have plenty in my head but it's always great to see others because I'l also steal/borrow incorporate some of the ideas seen here into mine when I build it when I finish off my basement. As for now, until I finish the garage, I'm not allowed ;) to finish off the basement. It's a little further along that this pic, the roof is done. This year I hope to install the garage doors and windows and frame the exterior in preparation to log siding it to "match" the house.

So again, until I'm done putting $ into the garage, I'm almost embarrassed to show my basement....I do have Superior Walls, 9' in preparation of finishing off the whole basment. The logs in the background will be a log bar/kitchenette area. I can't wait.

And just for spite. ;) [8D] Sometimes I sit in front of the fireplace to work on my bows. :D

RE: Care to post any pics of your archery room?

Here's mine that I just got done a couple of weeks ago........this is all from scratch in my basement on unfinished walls. $385 in materials and finishing. 8X10' 40" high ,24" deep. (All 2X4",2X6" and a $50 piece of oak plywood.)
I wired in 5 outlets, a ceiling fan and two 4 ft. Flo. Shop lights.

I also have an 11 yd test shooting / tuning range , bowrack, complete fly tying area for my fly fishing habit, and a workout area all out of sight.
XM satellite radio and portable DVD for entertainment.

Cable gets run and I pick up my "Puffy" chair this week.;)

I love my basement. :)

Looks awesome Matt, one of these times when you come back to hunt again you might think you stepped into the twilight zone when I mirror your room in my house. ;) But of course I'll tweak it like I know me to do....:D

I would but my room also doubles for my fishing room and I have a whole lot more fishing gear then bow hunting gear. I did get smart after my house fire a number of years back though, my stuff is now in a fire proof room.;)

My room is way to messy to be taking pics right now. Maybe once I get it straightened out again.

RE: Care to post any pics of your archery room?

I can't wait to get mine set up. Me and my dad built a little warm room in our barn that serves as an archery/fly tying/rod building room. We need to do some more work on it but its coming together pretty good. I'll snap some pics when it's finished.

Here are some pics now that it's done. Still need to add a few things such as a bow vice and some decorations. The white really brightens it up in there but it needs some more color.:D

Don't have an archery room as such. Not much need for one, really. Here's a pic of my bow rack though. :)

RE: Care to post any pics of your archery room?

This is about as good as it gets for now. I moved about 4 months ago into a single bedroom apartment in an attempt to save more money to buy a house sometime next year. My old place was a 2 bedroom, and the spare room was the "Man Room" with all my stuff in there. It was nice, but a little big for a bachelor. Now half my bedroom is used. I keep it neat and orderly in there, but can't wait to have a garage or basement to take over...........

The good thing is that I have the shop at my disposal for anything I would ever need, as well as the local sportsmans club I am a member of that also has everything except a chrono.

RE: Care to post any pics of your archery room?

Greg, you probably got a sense of my room from my pics back on the cresting tool thread.... yikes! Well it hasn't got much better.

I did get a steel office desk the other day and we're going to be doing a little tidying up in the next couple weeks....so I'll update then perhaps! :D
