1st with a bow
 

Now that I have the forum stuff figured out I thought I would post the deer I shot with my bow this year. I killed him the last day of bow season. I set up my stand that morning at a new spot and ended up in the open and spooked a group of doe. I moved my climber and got him nearing dark. Anyway 1st with a bow, thought Id share it.

P.S. Sorry for the skuffed up body we dragged him a different way than when we went in (which ended up being a long hike)

Just noticed... You got an XT before season was over last year? You must have got one of the early ones...

Yeah I am hooked. I dont want to go into the woods with anything but my bow. But i think ill rifle every now and then because i havnt killed many deer. Its just so amazing to have deer "right under" you. Its even cool getting busted by deer and seeing them stomp at you (well not when it is happening but after)

Yeah I got the switchback 3 weeks before the season ended. I worked my butt off for a long time so I could get that or the trykon. decided on the matthews. why do you ask?

No particular reason... Just saw that you had a new-for-'06 bow at the end of last year's bow season, that's all. I knew it would have been cutting it close between you getting the bow and the season ending.
