I'm using one for the first time this year. I put the new Trophy Taker Pronghorn on both the Allegiance and the Trykon.

I use a Trophy Ridge Drop Zone. I didn't like the idea of the Trophy Taker falling on the shelf of my beloved UltraTec. Yeah, I know you can put moleskin on it, but I didn't like it. I like the straight up, straight down apporoach of the DZ.

I still use a prong rest. I'm usually years behind the latest and greatest gear surge. Call me old fashioned.

Yup MZE.

I have been using a MZE for about 7 or 8 years now. My Outback is the 3rd bow to have one on it and I really doubt that I will change for a good long time. It will take a pretty impressive rest to get me to switch. All 3 of my MZE's have worked flawlessly over the years. Like it is said " If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

VBG kazaway here, and although I've finally got it tuned, I still don't like how it fits my SBXT.

I Really liked my ultimate dropaway as far as performance and tunability. The kazaway has some great features but I'm starting to think seriously about a WB!

Schaffer E-2 dropaway which can be converted to a conventional prong rest if wanted.

Same here... I have a NAP Quiktune 1000 on my new Reflex Highlander. It's simple and it works. Maybe one day, I'll get fancy and upgrade the arrow rest.

For target and 3D I only use blade type rests. For hunting, this year I will use the MZE on the XT, and a whisker biscuit on the Liberty bow.

RE: Is everyone using???????

nope whisker biscuit here

NAP 2000 here as well. Tried a Whisker Bisquit for several weeks but felt more consistent with the dropaway.

Quick question for the NAP dropaway users. Any tips on getting the factory arrow holder to stick to the shelf? I have problems with mine not sticking, especially the front and rear edges.

Have been using a NAP 3000 for years and love it.I decided to bite the bullet this year and put a QAD ultra on just for giggles and so far so good.
It took a little tweaking but got it shooting where I want it.One thing I like about this drop away is the arrow is always fully captured by the prongs. It will never fall off even if turned upside down.It just may prove to be a good investment and a great rest for hunting.
Time will tell if I like it better then my trusty 3000:)

I have tried just about every type of rest out there. Right now I have a bodoodle on my bow and a GFK Platinum premier on my girlfriends Rintec. Her Alpine has a Muzzy though and I just took the drop zone off my bowtech and replaced it with the bodoodle. And I have a few others in my tackle box.

I think drop a ways work good for fletching clearance issues, but beyond that they are no different than any other rest if set up correctly.

I've tried lots of fallaways and all seem to do what they're designed to do although some do it better than others imo. Currentlyi'm using aGKF Ultimate Toughman that i took off my sons bow and convertedto a drop away.I harvested two deer using it last season and i plan to use it again this year.I still have my old Golden Premier prong reston hand though and wouldn't hesitate to put it back on my bow should the urge hit me. :D

Here's my current set-up and it works great!

RE: Is everyone using???????

I am using a mix of both on my bows......

My Hunting bows haveRipcord and APA Twister Safari drop aways while my 3D bows have a fixed Bodoodle and an Golden Key Infiniti Drop away.........with a Vapor Trail "Limb Driver" on the way to try out as well.

Oh yeah......all of my recurves are hair rests off the shelf!:D

No rest, I shoot off the shelf.

Drop aways on all my bows (4). two with MZE and two with drop zones. It's the only way to go these days.

Wow!!! I have never heard of a trophy taker owner not happy..What is there not to like? My wife and I both have trophy takers and trykons and love both of them...are you a sales rep for whisker bisquit..be honest??? 90% of the guys that shoot league and hunt around here use trophy takers too.

Ditto.

I had the same problem with the factory arrow holder. I also had clearance issues. I neatly covered my shelf with moleskin so you can barely tell it is there. I then cut the arrow holder making a rectangular "rest cushion" so you don't get that clanking sound when your rest drops to the shelf.

I tried to take a pic but my camera loves batteries like a fat kid loves cake.:D
