broadhead flight

I have posted before about my broadhead flight and the problems I was having. After much trial and error I had 6 arrows refleched to feathers and I saw instant improvement. After shooting both muzzies & thunderheads w/ the new feathers, I am dead on JUST LIKE FIELD POINTS. I did go back and shoot my old vanes and I am off a little to the right. I must have a clearance problem that the feathers are allowing me to get away with. The short of it is I believe a lot of my problem was target panic when shooting the broadheads because I was off alot more than what I am now w/ plastic vanes. It is apparent that the broadheads bring out the worst in arrow flight. At any rate, I am packing my bow and heading north saturday to bear hunt and I am totally confident in my setup. Wish me luck.

RE: broadhead flight

Feathers provide better/quicker stabilization by having increased drag over vanes. this could be a contributing factor to your improvement.

They also minimize the effects of contact.
