RE: AZ elk hunting
 

When we were in unit 1, we spoke with 4 other hunting parties. All were residents. All drew with 10 bonus points. I think we had to be pretty lucky with only 5. I couldn't believe how many guys complained they could not find elk. I got the impression they were not die hard hunters. More like yuppies drawn into the AZ elk hype. We found big bulls on every north/east slope hunted. They were all over. I passed on over 40 bulls before taking mine.

Units 8, 9 & 10 seem to be all the rage right now, especially with the residents.BigDan on the Bowsite killed a 360+ bull in the first hour of his unit 8 bowhunt last year.
