My goal for this fall is to harvest the 165 class whitetail that I missed with my longbow last September.
I found his antlers less than 250 yards from where I missed him. The squirrels had chewed on them a bit. They are very even and only one of the eight measureable circumferences drop below 5".
I will try to enclose a pix.

Spend as much time in the woods with my grandfather. Every year we spend a week together up at camp, but you never know when it is goin to be the last.

I have talken a few deer with my compoundbow. my goal this year is to take one with my long bow.

actually my ultimate goal is to be like davemil, have trophy bucks eating corn out of my driveway, to be retired, and have lots of time to hunt, fish and enjoy the wonderful life the good lord has blessed me with, ahhh I can just see it now

This will be my first year hunting Illinois so my goal is to at least lay eyes on a nice buck, like 115 or better. I am from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I have taken some nice bucks for our area, but nothing measureable. I hope to harvest a couple does per the landowner's request, and anything beyond that is a bonus for me. I am really excited to have secured a place to hunt down here and can't wait to see what the land hold as far as deer go. Lots of sign and good cover, so we'll see!

I'm the new old man on the block. My goal is to take my firsy Whitetail with a bow. I've been hunting 40 of my 53 years, and have as yet to get a deer with my bow.

To draw a tag for Dog Salmon River or Frazier Lake and shoot a world record brown bear to go along with the mt. goat, blacktails and reindeer I plan to shoot. Plan B is to shoot a world record bear in the registration area before my girlfriend does and to get a bigger goat than her. Otherwise I fall back to plan C: pack out my girlfriend's animals...

October - whtietail doe and 5 point or better buck in Arkansas
November - 140" plus Kansas whitetail
Novembe/December - finish my Arkansas tags

I'll be shooting my Stewart recurve for all the above

TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHEN THE RUT IS IN AND USE THE DOES TO HELP DRAW THE BUCKS. LAST YEAR I HELPED FEILD TEST A LURE MADE BY BORDER CROSSING LABS CALLED DEER HEARD IN A BOTTAL AND VS-1. THE DEER IN A BOTTAL IS A COVER SCENT THAT DROVE BOTH BUCKS AND DOES TO ME. I HAD MORE DEER COME DOWN THE SAME TRAIL I USED TO GET TO MY STAND THEN EVER BEFORE. THE VS-1 IS A DOE ESTURS LURE WHICH PULLS BUCKS IN LIKE NO OTHER. I HAD SEVERAL SMALL BUCK COME WITHIN 20 YARDS OF MY STAND AND THREE NICE MATURE DEER ALSO. A FRIEND OF MINE USED IT AND TOOK A NICE 10 POINTER RIGHT AFTER IT LICKED THE MARKING TAPE HE HAD PUT THE VS-1 ON. THIS STUFF COST MORE THEN MOST LURES HOWEVER, IT IS WELL WORTH IT. I PLAN ON USEING IT NEXT YEAR.

IT WILL BE MY FIRST YEAR WITH THE OLD STICK AND STRING. I HAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF DEER IN MY AREA, AND GETTING CLOSE HASNT BEEN A PROBLEM ALL OF MY RIFLE KILLS WITH IN 50YRDS. SO MY PLANS ARE TO JUST MAKE A CLEAN KILL AND ENJOY MY TIME IN THE WOODS.

I hope to kill my first buck with a bow. I have passed on many smaller bucks because it makes me feel good to know that next year he could be better. I hope to put my tag on a decent mature buck. I have 1400 acres of new ground to hunt so im ready. My biggest goal is to help my buddy kill his first animal with a bow. I halped kill his first turkey this year so.
