Smaller Vanes

Has anyone tried the smaller vanes for better distance/accuracy? I am lookingat a Bohning Blazer Vane - 2" x .600". The reasoning seems solid but I wanted to get some user feedback before the glue hits the shaft.

RE: Smaller Vanes

I saw another thread somewhere on ahuntingnet forum about Blazers and from what I read everyone was happy with them. I too am thinking of switching, mostly because I saw an advertisement for them say they would make a 5"-7" difference in trajecory at 50 yards. Now that I have to see to believe, but I am willing to try anything once. Especially because you can get a free sample pack from them if you call.

I use 2" blazers for my Whisker-Biscuit rest. I found that using a shorter (2") vane that the vanes won't crimp or get damaged like the longer vanes do when going through the Whisker-Biscuit hairs.
