Matching the blade with the fletching?

I know that you have to match the blade with the fletching and usually i use o-rings but how do you do it without them? I've heard of heating the glue on the insert and twisting it to the right place and letting it dry back. How do yall do it?

You don't have to match the blades with the fletchings. It looks cool, but doesn't effect flight in the slightest. Depending on how long your arrows are and how much centershot you have you may want to orientate the blades so they clear the riser better though.

What you have heard works well on aluminums that use heat glue, however it will not work on carbons or aluminums with a stronger glue. The only reason I would rotate my inserts was if they did not spin true.

Yup, it's an old wife's tale. As Paul stated, you don't need to do that. YOU DON"T NEED TO DO THAT. YOU DON'T NEED TO DO THAT!!!!!

These guys are right, you don't have to line blades to fletching. I use small pieces( 2")of dental floss between the head and arrow to get a tite fit, then I fray the end of the floss and this acts as a great windicator. Just a neat tip mydad showed me.

once again i took yall's advice and once again....yall were right:D. I took the o-rings off and just put my broadheads on as tight as they would go without worring if they lined up with the fletching and they flew great! Thanks again:D

It is a Myth. Just really doesnt matter. But it also doesnt hurt to do it if your one of those guys who likes everything just so.

I've read articles where some say it matters and some say it don't. Personally, I believe that it helps to align your broadheads with the fletching. I am one of those analytical guys.;)

I've got to disagree here. if I don't align my blades of my thunderheads, my arrows plane in a corkscrew fashion and hit a foot lot at 20 yds. even the slightest variation affects it. it isn't a pretty sight. it has been so long since i have tried another head, I couldn't tell you how they would fly.
