I got one ? about helical
I am ordering new arrows, and dont know which helical to get.
I shoot right handed, 65# #26.5" Reflex Superslam, and I want to be able to shoot both 100gr broadheads and fieldtips with these arrows If you shoot right, you should have left helical, or am I mistaken? Lil help please:D |
RE: I got one ? about helical
As far as I know...it makes absolutely no difference what so ever. The only area this truely comes into play is w/ the traditional shooters.

Campo,
It really makes no difference which you get. Most common these days is right helical, but it's not all that important. About the only thing that makes right better than left is that RH spins the arrow into the screw-in point so it doesn't come loose as easily. |

BG beat me to the punch on the one thing that you want to keep in mind regarding which way your arrow is spinning while in flight; I've shot left helical before and got tired of having to tighten up my field points all the time while practicing.
High-speed photography reveals that arrows don't begin spinning until several feet away from the bow upon release, therefore it makes no difference to compound shooters. |
