highlander....

ok....its been a while since it came out......anyone besides butch here own one yet? or has shot one?? im stilllll trying to buy a new bow.....im tossing the idea around of either fixing the truck this summer.....or buying a bow....the truck is ALL body damage...and right now its not TOO rusted....so i may work on it myself to control the rust another year...then get it done next summer lol.....i didnt shoot any bows yet...i thought id have alot of money left after this semester....but gas is just killing me....and i put a new exhaust on the truck...but i got a good summer job...actually 2...and getting back to work this weekend....so a month and i can have enough money for a bow and all the goodies and the whole 9yds...be shooting by the end of june if all goes as planned....i drew back a couple bows...adn the reflex grizzly felt the best...just a hair long ATA...which the highlander takes care of...i am just looking for test reports of it.....anyone shot it yet or own it?? thanx guys.....everyone i talk to...even body garages say my truck isnt worth fixing...maybe they are right...its an easy 1000$ to fix...i need half a new body lol....but its not that bad...just big nasty dents that cant be pulled...itll rust out slowly and i hate having it messed up...and for a 94 it only has 91k miles...so i dont know what ill do.......tossing both ideas around...but figured id ask about the bow.....alot of talk before it came out....anyone have it? thanx...

I haven't shot one, but the specs on Paper read- shooter. I bet most would be happy as pie to own & shoot that bow.

But what good will a new bow do if you can't get to your hunting spot?

If the repairs are only cosmetic, leave well enough alone and call it character. You'll never get your money back IMHO.
A new bow - now there's something you can really enjoy;).

LOL!!!! I don't just like my Reflex Highlander.... I LOVE IT!!!!!! :D[8D] It is the best bow for the money. It looks, feels, and shoots, identical to that of aHoyt (i.e. Hoyt Ultra Sport).

Get out the house paint, do some camo on the old pickup and buy a new bow.

lol sorry butch..didnt mean to leave you out or anything...i PMed you a few times..i KNOW you love yours lol.....i just have a feeling that will be the best feeling bow to me in my price range too.......

about the truck....its ALL body damage.....i rolled it on its side.(long story lol) but i hit a pile of cement with my driver side front end....and rolled onto the passanger side...new front bumper...2 front fenders...and maybe a passanger door...plus i might as well get all the typical rust spots taken care of too while its there....i realize ill never get my money out of it......it it last me 3 more years im fine....its paid for...runs great....sucks gas and hauls @$$....and goes anywhere i need it too....i just dont want the body to get TOO bad and rust out..theres holes in the fender wells...time will only kill it inside out im betting....i was QUICK quoted atleast 1000...and the guy said he would hate to do it because it wouldnt be worth it...its a 94...but only has 91k miles on it....i dont know what ill do...ill probably wait till next summer and get it done....save money all fall and and part of the summer....so when i blow 2grand on it ill still have a few pennies in the bank to buy a drop of gas! lol......i think ill end up with the bow...but want to talk to dad about it.....right now the rust barely started...right after it happend i took sandpaper to it...alcohol...primer..spray paint and clear coat....actually looked alright for a few months...minus the BIG dent where the fender buckled....but i dont know...we shall see.....but i want a bow! and got LOTS of hunting time in the FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like 4 days a week if i want kinda time!!

No sweat... ;) Yeah, we PM'd a few times and I'm sure when you look at theReflex Highlander, you'll buy one. It really is that sweet of a bow! $349 is all it takes....

I'd keep the truck and use it for a beater to get you to the deer in the woods and by a nice used economical daily driver type of car/small truck.

I bought one and it is my first bow. I shot some others and I liked it the best and felt good to me. I feel sorry for the elk or deer that presents itself to me this year!!
