The many choices in arrows makes choseing one as hard as choseing a bow. You have Axis, AC Slim, ACC, Epic, SuperSlam, XX75, XX78 and the list goes on and on. I want to return to Aluminum and most likely something like an ACC. Elimanating an all carbon arrow, which is the preferred otherin today's market?

Rick I am not as experienced in using aluminum/carbon arrows as some others here, but I will say this. I've been shooting the A/C Superslims for about 2 months now. I debated between ACC's and the Slims and after talking to Aussieguy here a few times, I went with Slims because I wanted a little more weight for hunting than the ACC's offered at similiar spines. I didn't take the HIT system into consideration because I had no problems with it in my Axis or Beman Black Max. In short I will not be going back to an all carbon arrow.....I simply love the Superslims . To me it offers the advantage of having the straightness of the aluminum core and the toughness with the outer carbon wrapping. I've found them to also be very close in weight and straightness through the whole dozen. Its also proven to be one tough arrow. My son is now shooting my Black Max and Axis arrows and doing very well with them.
If you decide on an aluminum/carbon arrow either the ACC or A/C Superslim will make you happy.

I should add that I am trying these out with my new Switchback XT, so far I like them, but time will tellas far as durability? The only draw back so faris the price, depending on where you buy them they go from $100 to $120 a dozen.

My ultimate arrow is the carbon express maxima cross weave 350 that were covered in blood this fall after taking four deer and they are still back in my quiver and still hunting. Hard to argue with success and I have played around with mainly bemans and aluminum in the past, but these are sweet. Aluminum bend and I have never put an aluminum back in my quiver to hunt another day after whacking a deer.
