Hey Huntingsucks1; first of allyou need to learn to spell buddy! Second the truth is animals in the wild that are harvested for food live a much better life, and have a much better death than do those who end of in you local grocery.

RE: Fox with a bow
Cool, I have yet to see a bobcat in the wild. The numbers are growing here in IA but still protected and no season. We are getting a lot of mountain lion sightings over the last few years in IA. Had a customer claim to see one the other day. They are here as one was shot a deer season ago and another was hit by a car a couple of years ago. Anyway, great shot on the cat. The DNR has not made it illegal yet to shoot a mountain lion and I would love to have one walk under my treestand and send an arrow thrugh it or call one in when I am doing coyote sets. He would go on my wall for sure. I would let the anti-hunter here have the meat:D

RE: Fox with a bow

RE: Fox with a bow
Great looking fox, and great shot.
As for the huntingsucks guy, I am glad only a small percentage of the world is as ignorant as you are. |
RE: Fox with a bow
Nice Fox...
I had to chuckle at the Anti-hunter post... So it's okay to get meat that the store which the animal has no chance of survival, but not okay to hunt with a wild animal with a bow,on a fair chase hunt. Haha.. talk about making no sense. Haha |
RE: Fox with a bow
Hardcore.....NICE fox....I've been hoping to get one of those myself. They run under my ladder stand sometimes during deer season. I've always let them pass.....afraid I will be messing with the fox and a big ol buck will come along. Did get a nice bob cat last fall though. Good job.

I don't shoot foxes, but that's just me. My hunting partners all do. I enjoy watching them. I guess it's part of my, "if I can't eat it I don't shoot it". Although, that theory was put to the test when I was a kid and shot 10,000 tweets.[8D]
I've had cats within 15 yards twice in my years of bowhunting. Just enjoyed watching them do their thing. I've had coyotes close a couple times. I do shoot them and don't eat 'em. One time they did a back flip and exited stage left when I tried to draw. The other time my release was screwed up and I didn't know it. I went to draw back on a coyote at 20 yards. I got drawn about 10 inches and the dang release let go.... and I had my finger behind the trigger pushing like I always do. The arrow took off and fell harmlessly to the ground about 10 feet from my stand. I thought at the time I'd done something wrong until that evening the same thing happened with a buck at 12 yards. My brother and the 3 guys he hunts coyotes with got 67 of them this year with the guns and dogs. They got 92 a couple years ago. This is in the Adirondacks... tough hunting. RE: Fox with a bow
Very nice. We dont see many foxes here in Texas. I do see the occasional grey, and every now and then a red. But never been close enough to get a shot. Here is what we see under our stands most of the time.:D
