Got a Doe today
 

just shot a Doe at about 4:30pm CST here in illinois.nice size doe,weighed 118 field dressed.shot her with my browning combustion compound,using Easton A/C/C carbon aluminum arrows with Deadhead Dagger Expandable Broadheads made by Golden Key Futura leading the way.she went about 40 yards and dropped.got her checked in and packed in ice,taking her to the processors tomorrow.it was 48 degrees,NW wind at about 5 mph,an overcast day,i got out of my truck,walked up into the woods,stood at the edge of the woods overlooking a field,and was in the woods for about 10 minutes when she walked by in the clear cut between me and the field. oh yeah and I shot her from the ground at 20 yards away! this has been the shortest hunting trip i have ever been on.i'm a happy camper! thanks everyone! i got pics,now i need to find out how to post them.Thanks again everyone,Good luck this hunting season!the wife had steaks and chops off of the buck i got,i'm gonna let her dig into the tenderloins on the doe this time.I wish i had enough to go around for everyone on the forum,that would be nice.
