checking carbon arrows before they explode?
 
There is a post further down that shows a gruesome picture of a splintered carbon arrow mangled through a guy's hand. How does this happen? What should we be checking for? I didn't realize that this can happen...As always, thanks for the help

flex it first. Basically grab the 2 ends and put a little pressure to make it bend in the middle and while doing so listen for cracking and look for splintering. I believe gold tips web site explains it a little better than I did.

yea just be careful. I had an arrow explode justlike that, and I checked it first.My arrows were beaman ics.I now shoot easton full metal jackets...
