Fellow Archer down...please read
Please say a prayer tonight for a fellow archer that was involved in a motocycle accident tuesday morning. he was goin to work,I know him really close and we've hunted a few times. Below is a link to what happend. But yesterday and today i was up at the hospital and the docs say that he's a lucky one and that he broke pretty much every bone in his body. From the impact, his helmet was cracked and was caved into his face. He shatterd his pelvis, ankle and his elbow. He had Road Rash all over his body and i don't think that he'll ever be able to pull his bow back or ever be able to walk again...it will be a while before he can talk but at least he is alive. his 15 year old daughter which i am good friends with said,"one minute ur kissin ur dad for work and the next minute u find urself in a hopital sayin how could this be happening. just please have him in your thoughts and prayers and always watch out for everyone out on the road....thank you so much for reading this

I use to ride a cycle years ago, had some close calls, seems like people look right through you when your on a bike. I was alot younger then had faster reflexs. Hope your friend pulls through this, my prayers will be for him tonight.

Man i hate to hear that. I ride as well, and its a scary addiction. I couldn't give it up, but i do fear stuff like that happening. Have only been in one accident, and only got a seperated shoulder. Still hurts to this day, but its storys like this that make you realize it can be so much worse. Prayers for your friend, hope all goes well..

So sorry to hear this, my prayers are with him. What DavidMil was refering to is I just got a Harley Ultra Classic. You really have to drive 300 yards in front of you at ALL TIMES. I've only had it 2 weeks tomorrow and have been cut off by a tractor trailer and a few cars that turned or pulled out in front of me, unbeleivable, and mine has 3 headlightes on it. Although I'm uneasy about riding when it's dark I did take it to work yesterday at 4am, not much traffic on the road then but the deer and racoons are out so I took the long way and bypassed the backcountry.
I reallypray for a full recovery for your friend. |

Yikes that's terrible. I was just saying today that if my wife ever left me, I'd get a motorcycle (not that she's planning to....I don't think...),
maybe not then either.... Let's pray he not only recovers, but is able to bowhunt again someday soon. |

Wow... My thoughts and prayers are with your friend... [&o]:( I had an old USCG friend back around 1981 or so who got whacked on the highway, heading out towards Long Island, NY. All these years, decades, later if you ask him about it, all he remembers is a light brown Chevy Chevelle... [&:] He ended up getting medically retired by the USCG as he was never the same again. Word has it he went over the handlebars, landed on his head (helmet saved his life), rolled over and skidded down the highway on his back and butt. [:'(]
