Default I'm thinking of hanging up my bow...

and buying a new one.

as many of you know i shoot a 1979 Bear Polar Ltd. this bow is in super condition and shoots great but i think it could be worth more as a collectors item. i was talking to a bear rep at the pro shop where bears are manufactured and apparently they are pretty rare in this good of condition. while there i looked at some of their new bows and i was really impressed. not only this but they were on sale. most of them were only about $250 bucks!!! they seem like very good bows but i don't know much about new bears. i thought it seemed like a good deal especially since he said i could get a whisker biquit and a trophy ridge sight for only $70 and get everything else set up for free. what all do ya'll think???

Go shoot a new Bowtech, Mathews or Hoyt. You will really get the fever! Also the Diamond and Reflex
line of bows. Especially the Hilander in the Reflex line.

Hunter.... they aren't as rare as you think. Up until 4 or 5 years ago Ihad one in the basement that I'm surewas older than 79. I gave it to a kid, along with a new set of cables I had.[8D] I bought the thing the first year they came out but switched to a new PSE lazer magnum the same year. I still have that bow. The wheels are about the size of a silver dollar. Len has several LTDs hanging in his shop. He must have 75, what I call, ANCIENT bows hanging in the back.

I know the feeling, i shootan early 80's DARTON MX-60 still kills the deer but really want to upgrade. Don't know if any of you have seen this commercial, but it's a guy using a typwriter in a cyber cafe for comcast cable "Isn't it ime to upgrade" and grandures of two or three days test drving new bows stays with me for the rest of the night
