I have gone thru the majority of them, and came to the conclution that NAP thunderheads are the simplest and easiest to get to group with field points and just work.

I see my friends do what I used to do and buy ever whiz bang head out there. Thinks that cut on contact, and spinny things, and all kinds of craziness and they struggle with broadhead tuning and struggle groups. But I bet they will come back to the good old thunderheads.

bigcountry we shot thunderhead for years and they are a great head but give Wac'em a try it is simple and flies awesome. Fixed head cut on impact rock solid Awesome flight !!!!! Thunderheads are good but I always had to move my sights and it never failed that 1or 2 in a dozen were not balanced.

There are hundreds of threads about what is the best broadhead... People will debate over and over and over on what they think is best.

My personal opinion is for two very incredible broadheads.

Magnus Stinger 4 blade and Slick Tricks. Both fly perfectly accurate just like field tips. The Slick Tricks fly a tad better in the wind though. But as far as lethal sharpness and just plain wickedness, the Magnus Stinger rules! [8D]

Here is a vote for the CRIMSON TALON..change to field point and go, 6blades and an exit wound the size of a pop can they use a spiral blade that is as atury as any others Iv'e shot. Still have one completely imbedded in a vertibre, completely intact...

I used to be a Thunderhead man and have had good luck with them, only
draw back was that they did not fly like field points. A friend told me about the Slick Tricks and I am glad I did, they fly just like field points.
I can't wait to try them on a deer.

My last Elk I shot at 50 yards, through the trees, pass through, and he went maybe 30 yards. 125gr Thunderheads.
But I always had to retune from fp's.
I am shooting Magnus this year. I have already experimented with them vs. fp's and they shoot EXACTLY where the fieldpoints shoot, out to 50 yards!
We'll see.

In my opinion the Magnus Stinger 4 blade is very hard to beat

Me too.... I use to shoot sonic but made the switch to ST's. ST's fly great and punch a bigger hole, not to mention it penatrates bones like papers.

I guess I will be the first to mention WASP.I have been shooting the Wasp Boss for 2 years now and am very happy with this head.
Havent tried the "famed" slick trick yet ,may have to see what all the fuss is about,but cant see it performing any better then my Boss heads and the Wasp's are readly available at just about any archery shop.

I have use Magnus Stinger 4 blade heads and their new 4 blade serated Buzzcutts with nothing but absolutely PERFECT results. This is both in the field and also in my backyard range. They shoot as accurately as I can be. They stay right with my fieldtips and are so sharp that they give me the creeps when I am handling them. They are easy to pull out of my target (which I have shot broadheads into for over 2 years now) and they don't pull all the stuffing out with them........this is partly due to using a Morrell's Yellow Jacket Broadhead target (which I HIGHLY) recommend as well. I shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot my Stingers for months at a time because I believe in practicing for hunting.......and I don't hunt with fieldtips;) They hold up to an unbelievable amount of abuse and I have no doubts that I could just touch up the edges and head out to hunt........but I don't even have to worry about that because for like $9 I can have a whole set of brand new scalpel sharp blades just ready to go the night before the season. 5 minutes with a small screwdriver and I have 3 arrows that I have been shooting for months and have 100% confidence in how they will fly when I shoot them.........now tipped with fresh heads so sharp that I think I could get a passthrough on a deer if I just dropped the arrow out of my stand and it landed on him[8D] Seriously though, penetration is the reason I bought Stingers a dew years back. I had a deer that I shot right through the center of his heart (my avatar) and it took me, my brother and 2 friends a long time to find him because the arrow didn't passthrough and blood was minimal. I never wanted that feeling again. Every deer I have shot with a Stinger has been a passthrough with lots of blood that is easy to follow and the trails don't go far. My arrows are stuck deep in the ground so I have little doubt they had energy to spare. I don't know what else a broadhead could do to be better. Stingers are pretty tough to beat..........not only that but the owner of the company is a really cool guy and responds to emails himself.........great customer service and a great product.

SteelForce makes a wicked head as well........butchered a few deer shot with them and the damage was AWESOME........helped my brother track a couple as well and their was blood everywhere. Only downside is no replaceable blades. My brother killed a doe with the Crimson Crocs last year and they performed perfectly.....my buddy shot a buck in the shoulder with a Croc and it disintegrated.......literally had a complete failure and it looked like he shot a steel I-beam when he found his arrow. I guess the moral of the story there is don't shoot a deer in the shoulder.

My brother is going to shoot G5's this year so we will see how they do. I wish I could get myself to shoot a different head (I just like new and different stuff)......I'm just so leary of poor performance by a head I bought because it looked "cool" (like the Croc's).....in the end I always end up shaking my head and saying "Why would I not shoot my Stingers"??....and I can't come up with a good enough answer.

As long as they shoot straight and are fairly sharp...the rest is marketing hype and is grossly overrated.
