Considering the new rocord bull just came out of Arizona, it is a no brainer.

The only time I ever hunt elk was when I took my bull in Wyoming so I can't vote.;)

idk id go anywhere to hunt em, but from what i hear is montana has had the most P and Y elk in the last few years

They sure didn't ask a question very well. Colorado is a great fall back state for a meat hunt but every year I put in for AZ and NM for trophy units...

Are you asking for a meat hunt, where you can fill your tag with a average to small bull or a cow? Or are you asking what state is the best for trophy bulls? If you are looking to just punch your tag, I would go with Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. I also know that Idaho is over the counter, as is Colorado, not sure about the others.Now if you are looking for a hard to draw trophy hunt where you have a dang good chance at a new record bull, then Utah, is number 1 in my bookfollowed closely by Arizona then Nevada and New Mexico. To draw the trophy units in any of these states is veryhard like winning the lottery.
