Shakey Hunter useres....i have a ????
I bought me a Bowtech Tribute a few weeks ago.......i have worked every day since and haven't been able to shoot it since i left the shop [:@] i have fondeled it alot though.
I am VERY concerned about my choice of rests. I went with the Trophey Taker Shakey hunter based one the rec from the shop and things i read about it. My concern is this. Is it loud? when i work it manualy it has a very loud clank when it drops. i thought it was twanging on the riser....but felt pads didn't cure it. it seems that the rest itself is making the cland when it drops. Will this be very noticable ontop of the noise of the release???? I'm very concerned seeing that i bout the bow because it was dead silent on release in a indoor range that i tried it at. didn't get time to shoot with the shakey hunter......i hope i didn't screw up......and cant wait to get a day off work so i can shoot her in!
thanks for any replies and i hope my concerns are unfounded.....

If you want to make you TTSH silent you must set it up this way......
Buy a Simms grip strip. Cut it to length equal to the width of your risers shelf. Next, stick it on where the TT's launcher arm contacts the shelf.
Now you have a silent TT [8D]
Pic (You can see the "grip strip underneath the launcher arm)

I dont know how to get pics on here. But my rest looks like buckeye's except it sits back about a inch or so. the tips of the fall away are just a bit behind the riser.

Cartman, you will hear a loud twang when you manually drop the rest. When you shoot it, you will not hear the twang. The same thing happens to mine. You will be surprised when you first shoot it.
By the way, you picked a great rest.
