I would imagine the rules are the same for archery as they would be for rifle or any other season.Safety zones are safety zones regardless of what weapon is being used.In Pa.,you have to be 25yds(I think)off of any maintained roads.

You'd have to first find out if your state , county , etc. considers a bow to be a firearm. If they do , then check the laws for gun hunting.

I would pick up a set of regulations and read them. From there i would also call the DNR if you had any other questions.

Our laws here are differnet for gun and bow. You have to be 100 yards away from a house with the bow, 300 yards with a gun.

Definitely call your states DNR and ask them. I live in Ohio and called about that same thing. I was told that it just has to be a "safe" distance which is judged by the hunter's discretion. Obviously you wouldn't want to be standing on one side of a road and shooting across it, but if you're twenty yards from a yard, and are shooting away, it'd be safe. The statement that safe distances are the same for all weapons and season is ludicrist. A gun shoots a lot farther than a bow, therefore you'd need to be farther way to keep things safe.

God bless,
