Going Blind

Hey guys!
I'm not as young as I used to be and am having trouble seeing my sight pins. Sometimes their blurie to the point where I see 2 insted of one. I was going to try one of those peeps that magnify the pins but then the deer goes blurey. Any one got a fix for this I never want to give up archery. My eye doctor gave me glasses but they don't help they are like reading glasses great close up but everything a foot away or futher is blurie. Any suggestions. Thanks Mike

Hate to hear that. Have you ever looked into a scope. I personally have not ever used one, so I dont know if that would help or not. Just a thought.

I understand what you're saying about putting a clarifier in your peep and the target becoming blurry. Have you tried it? If I were you I'd think of trying the clarifier. If not, try going to just a single pin, and using just your glasses. Hopefully this helps.

What about a pin sight with a lens and a peep with a clearifer...? Might bring it all into focus for ya, other than that, again a single pin....

I don't think that a clarifier will work without a magnified scope lens. Without the magnified scope lens, the target will look farther away than it really is. You don't want that. I've heard about another peep device called a varifier, but I'm not sure what it is supposed to do. I do know that a clarifier and a pin will not work.
Good luck

Have you tried shooting instinctive instead of using a sight?
I have no idea if it will work, just a thought.

Not a bad idea , and the guys over at the trad forum will be glad to assist you through the learning curve . I shoot this way , I find sights distracting , and when I get off my lazy arse and practice I'm not a half bad shot . An accomplished compound shooter should be able to master it fairly easily .

How about talking to your eye doctor and maybe getting a pair of glasses just for shooting your bow? Maybe they can give you a custom perscription??
