Picking up my NEW bow on Monday!

Well guys, the day has finally arrived. I went back to the shop today to order my new bow. My dad is loaning me the amount of my refund check so I can go ahead and get the bow instead of waiting for the check to arrive. I thought that was mighty nice.:D

I am selling my Ultrasport to my brother for about $200. It was good to me this season but he really needs a newer model bow. It will have everything I had on it except for the Quicktune 2000 rest. I am putting the biscuit back on for him.

I plan on buying some good sights, stablizer, and a new quiver.

I am currently looking at the sword sights. http://www.swordacusite.com/products.html

I like the fuse catana quiver and I am undecided on the stablizer. Quiver doesn't really matter right now but the sights and stablizer do.

Check out the Fuse Axium stabilizers. They are incredible. Post pics when you get it!

Thanks for all the replies fella's.

I am very appreciative of my dad's generosity. Of course, he thinks that my current bow is just fine and that I had a very successful season with it. I just gotta have that new technology.;)

Okay, so there are a couple that have posted in this thread that recommend the Fuse line of stablizers. Rob, I see you have the 10" and I am unsure what mobowhuntr has. I would not know if I should buy the 7" or the 10". How much do those suckers run? I like em.:)

I forgot to mention this before but I noticed the "string buzz" that I read about on here from someone. You guys think that the string leeches would be a possible solution? I know I read that someone solved it w/ cat whiskers but I would rather have the bloodsuckers on there.

I have been looking all night on the net for sights and such. I will post pics as soon as she is tricked out.

duc, I have the shorter Axium, the exact length escapes me......5" I think? Anyway, it depends on how much weight you want out in front of the bow. Some like a lot, I don't. I like to keep the weight close to the riser.

The string buzz you talk about. For some reason, the string shox just don't work very well with the Trykon. It's got something to do with the limb tip travel. If you take those same shox and put them on any other Hoyt bow, they work extrememly well. My advice to you, take off the shox and install whiskers.

I've sold a few ;)

All kidding aside, this new Trykon really does have me excited. THIS is the Hoyt bow that I have been waiting for! The only thing that I would like to see different on this machine is that I would love to see the cam have the same adjustment as the former Cam & 1/2. I am very happy that Hoyt finally gave me a rock solid back wall and the slightly higher let-off. The draw force is very manageable and she is fast and super quiet. Of course, IMHO, I don't think anyone makes a better feeling facotory grip than the TEC's. I'm looking VERY forward in carrying my Trykon to the Turey woods here in a couple weeks and see how she performs on Mr. Longbeard!

My best advice is to leave the String Shox on and simply add an STS system. Every bow should be equipped with one in the firwt place.

What happened to you getting that fast shooting Martin you were raving about?

Geez, you are settling for that Hoyt.

Finch 03-30-2006 09:37 PM

RE: Picking up my NEW bow on Monday!

I never said I was going to get the Martin. I just said it was faster than the Big 3. I also said that the tv show sucked.:)

Does anyone have a link to the Fuse Katana product line?

Thanks and please excuse the highjack :)

Never mind, found it, thanks any way!

I went to the shop today and ordered the Sword Apex Micro Sight.

He said that he has a very hard time getting the fuse stablizers. He said that hes getting a shipment of vibracheck stabilizers in but I want the other. I need to find a place online to order the Fuse. Any suggestions?:D
He also said the Fuse Katana is about $100. Thats alot for a quiver IMO but I don't really need one of those right now.

ducsauce,
Congrats on your new bow. I have the Fuse Posi-lite on my Reflex and I think this is one of the quietest quivers on the market. Plus it looks great. The only problem with it is it's not a quick release quiver, but it is so quiet I don't have to remove it when i'm hunting. Also have a cobra sidewinder sight that I like. Take your time picking out your accessories!!! Everyone has different tastes. Good luck.
