I would assume you are talking about the North American Grandslam of Sheep?

I think he might be referring to the south central humming bird slam.

I have several friend that have taken multiple species of Gobblers but none of them have completed their Grand Slam yet. Actually a couple of them just don't really have much of an intrest in hunting the Florida Turkey to complete it. One buddy of mine, instead of completing his "Slam" he continues to return to NB and SD to hunt Merriams Gobblers.

Myself, I've only taken Easterns with my bow but next year I may have the chance to hunt Rio's in TX. After this I am going to try hard for a SD Merriams. I think a "Slam" with a bow would be an awesome feat to pull off!

That's because he have a lot of turkeys here in Nebraska....and some are rather large. The place that I am going hunting this weekend has toms that will top 25 or 26 pounds. I just bought a bow a few months ago and am going turkey hunting for the first time ever, with my bow. If things go well, I am going to try to complete my Grand Slam with a bow. It's tough to do, I would think, but it's always worth it.

Hey let's keep this discussion clean....oh....you meant HUNTING for sheep! :D

Yup, we're keeping it clean. I do mean "HUNTING" for sheep. Most sheep are the real deal; Dall's, Stone's, and Bighorn. It's the Desert Bighorn that you have to make sure you are hunting.
