I've got a buddy who is 3 inches shorter but has a 1inch longer draw length. Go to your nearest pro shop and get fitted for a bow. It'll save you many headaches down the road.

No it means 15-20 years ago everyone was a 30" draw. You walk into a shop and they would say "ah he is a 30""

Welcome to the forum and to bowhunting!
There is no turning back now.

Go to a pro shop and have them help you pick out a bow that fits you and you like
Buy it.
Then practice,practice,practice
You'll be ready to hit the woods this fall.
There is nothing like bowhunting.
