2 pins at 20 and 30 yds though i do have 2 other pins set at 40 and 50 for practice.

I use one pin. Years ago when I used 4 pins I looked at the wrong pin once and sailed a shot right over a beautiful 8pt bucks back.

3-4 pins set at 20,40,60 and sometimes 80 yds. the reason for this being that with my present sight I cannot get my pins close enough to do 10 yd. difference when the blocks touch that gives me a 20 yd. gap. So that is my answer. And yes I feel comfortable shooting deer at all those ranges.
