The new basement is shaping up...
 

She's not finished yet, but the "man cave" is starting to shape up... I guess I really shouldn't call it a man cave as my wife loves it, too. The mural's one of her favorite things so far. The scale is really lost in this pic, as it stretches over nine feet from side to side...




She also helped me center and hang the banner today; it's the first thing you see when you come downstairs (located at the right of the above pic)... The office area in the back of the pic is the last-remaining area to be straightened up; even though everything's out of boxes, it's just a cluster right now.




My taxidermist said today that my most recent trophy will be ready for pickup in a couple weeks; it's just so awesome having all this space to display everything!

Congratulations Greg, the place looks awesome. I can't wait to finish my basement...have to finish the garage first and then I'm going to tackle the "man den"...lol I really love the mural...like I mentioned one other time, My brother had it in his bedroom growing up and I really am thinking of it when I remodel the basement..especially the "proshop" room.

Great buck too, I see it's the one in your avatar...I'm jealous of the banner...of course it would have to hang next to the Hoyt one....lol

Actually, there's hardly no weight on there at all... I try to keep my one-rep max up to at least 235, not that that's a big deal, but I find it's enough for my small frame size to keep my chest bigger than my drawers! ;)(Which isn't necessarily the case as I seriously slacked up on working out when November rolled around last year -- I was on stand probably over 75 days -- and haven't got my butt kicked back in gear yet! [:-])

Greg, yeah I noticed the fans....of course..didn't miss much in eithe pic;) and although turkeys with a bow is awesome....that buck stands out that much more...he's one of a kind where fans look like fans...lol

That looks great! I'm in the process of remodeling my basement right now. I should say remodeling my house! I had 4 rooms down stairs, but I gutted it last winter. You could say I'm starting from the ground ( underground ) up. So far I've replaced the Phone lines, cable lines, door bell wiring, all the electrical from the weatherhead through out including a new panel, all gas piping and just finished re-plumbing the entire house on Friday. I'm finally ready to put the walls up. I can't wait, as I've got 14 shoulder mounts packed on an old couch, covered in plastic along with a whole turkey mount and five or six fans, I haven't had a good look at them for about a year now. I hope my "man cave " turns out as good as yours. Nice job.

I have always liked that mural, for some reason it takes me back to when I was a kid and wanted it so bad for my bedroom. How the heck long has that thing been for sale anyway?[:-]
You'd think some company would come up with a couple of new versions, boy a nice hardwoods early morning sun deer scene would sell like hot cakes. I mean there's only like what?........1,000,000 licensed deer hunter inPA alone.;)
Which gets me further off on a tangent.....do you know what our alternate license plates are in this state? Oh they're genious. A bengal tiger, a Saw-whet Owl, an old Sailing warship, a train, and some other stupid image??
Anyway, 1,000,000 deer hunters, and probably more fisherman and they can't seem to grasp the idea of a Whitetail Deer or Brook Trout alternate plate??:(They'd make so much revenue off that it would be stupid.

Anyway, what were we taling about?

Oh the basement, cool.......where do I sleep?:)
