RE: Cardeer Baby Deer Pictures --- Yeah Right!!

j_wag15,

First...NICE DEER in that picture. That's definately one to be very proud of. Congrats!

Second, I'm guessing by the picture and your handle that you're 15 years old? I'll let you in on a little life secret...some people are just frauds, and bowhunting's been full of them throughout the years. Some were famous bowhunters, like Noel Feather, Don Lewis, and Mitch Rompala, while others were lesser known.

Noel was a famous video bowhunter with a lot of corporate sponsors. He made his "mark" killing BIG bucks. Problem was that some of them were shot in pens, and he tried to register them in IL as legal kills. Some of his bucks were shot with no lisences too. Yep, very well-known and respected bowhunter...who was just a fraud.

Don Lewis was a professional bowhunter for Browning Archery, and vowed to be the first man to complete the Grand Slam on video...about 10 years ago. This was shortly after Chuck Adams became famous for his Grand Slam. Don publically promised to "up the ante" by doing what only chuck Adams had done...and do it all on video. Turned out that he shot a pair of big mule deer out of season, and when they searched his truck they found a video of him poaching a big elk in a national park (Yellow Stone?). Another very well-known and highly respected bowhunter....who was nothing but a fraud.

Mitch Rompala was a local legend in MI, who held the state record, then a story and photos surfaced that he shot the new B&C World Record buck. The photos were analyzed, criticized, and he was called a fraud. He took endorsements, lined his pockets, and refused to have the rack examined. When a gentleman offered Mitch $10,000 just to have it x-rayed, to settle the controversy once and for all, he wouldn't do it. When Milo Hansen (the REAL world record holder) and Buck Forage Oats threatened to sue Mitch, if he didn't put up or shut up, he signed a legal agreement to shut up.

Now we have Cardeer, who's a self-made "legend" here on this little web site. He spins some good stories, and posts some pictures of him with big dead deer, head mounts, or just cut off racks. With every story, the legend grows. Then, he has these two pictures of a dead whitetail deer, with a pair of mule deer antlers stuck to it's head, and supposedly taken in a state that has NO mule deer to begin with. That would be as believable as a pair of moose antlers on an elk.

Now, it'd be a cool picture, but the antlers aren't even in the right place for it to be real. Heck, one's almost in the top of the head, and the other's coming out of the ear for crying out loud. One antler's laying on the tailgate, and he's actually holding the other one on with both hands.

I will hand him credit though, he's got a whole lot of bowhunters on this site actually believing in some voodoo necklace garbage, and lining up in droves begging for them with the belief that they will kill monster deer because of them. He's also got a lot of bowhunters here thinking that one of the worst fraud pictures around is a real deer.

What surprises me the most is that after 10 years of conducting fraud investigations, I've found that most con-artists will go to great lengths to "do it right", but these photos are sloppy at best. Heck, he didn't even take the time to make sure that the antlers were the right species for the body, or that they were in the right place. It's so pathetic that it's almost sad.

But hey, if you think thay're real...I've got a cam-tracker pic of the "Hole in the Horn Buck" and the "Missouri Monarch" next to each other, complete with date and time stamp. I've also got a cool picture of my 100-class 8-point beagle. They're pretty good for a laugh too.

Why Cardeer why? With so much respect you have here why would you do such a thing. With the antler that BuckBlaster pointed out it just shows that it is a fake, because it is the exact same antler. Sorry buddy.<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>
I just hope this was a joke or something and you come clean on this!

You know I live in one of the areas you mentioned, I have never seen a wt rack like the one you have...Mulie's that's a differnt story.

Now I don't for one minute think this is legit, but I also don't really care. Cardeer, you did a pretty good job, especially with your back up reply getting the followers to jump when you said jump...the other all said &quot; How High&quot;. I also would like to think you are anything but &quot;A fraud&quot; but with every sportsman comes big tales and the ever kidder.

Of course I am a newbie and don't wear or have a necklace (yours or any other for that matter). I see this in attempt to have some fun and who knows what else you were expecting.

Best of luck passing this Buck!!!!!!

Like I said earlier; some people are just frauds, and bowhunting's been full of them throughout the years. This one was just a whole lot dumber, and easier to snuff out than most.
