thats nice but i dont understand why so many people crest there arrows
I'd say that there aren't a lot of people cresting arrows, but what you do see is a lot of guys using wraps.

Aside from just being a cool thing, a white cap or wrap will aid in showing up blood on an arrow so that you can determine what sort of hit you may (or may not) have made on an animal. It can also help you find your arrow.

Is the chuck made of metal or hard rubber?
The body of the chuck is metal with a rubber insert which holds the arrow shaft.

Hey Duc! That pattern looks awfully familiar!!! ;)

I'll not be posting pics of my crestor as it is U-G-L-Y, but it works quite well! Actually it really doesn't look like much more than a sewing machine motor screwed down to an old shelf....which is sort of all it really is!:D

I just finished another set for my daughter and I think I have my own pattern figured out. I'll post pics tonight perhaps.

Trembow: You caught me.:) I won't steal your pattern anymore. Post pics of that badazz bookshelf. I made a new guide block so maybe that will help w/ my pinstriping problem. We will see.

Ah feel free to use it with impunity:)! The one I think I've decided on is completely different anyhow...I won't tell a soul!

I'll post some pics later, if for no reason than to show people that it doesn't have to be pretty, it's just gotta work....well, and make pretty arrows anyhow.

Ok, I tried my new guide block and it may have helped SOME. I guess I will have to live with it. The problem is the chuck itself, I believe. Maybe Bohning's QA were lazy that day or something. I tried different arrows and it still rotates w/ a wobble. I don't know but it stinks because I wanted them to be perfect.[:@]
