My advice is to stick with the accessories. Sights, arrows, broad heads, strings and possibly targets. Offer bows and/or tree standsat adiscounted rate, custom ordered only. You won't tie up your money in high dollar inventory but allow you away to win clients over with price. You mayalso want to add some sort of basic bow range to start with a chronograph to draw in your clients. You can expand in any direction in the future as certain business models develop.

Good luck buckeye. When/if you open let me know your address so I can drop buy and patronize your store.

i think if you do good work on whatever you put on folks bows, and teach them what they'll need to be able to do to tune their bows, you'll be successful. my neighbors have been very receptive to me explaining to them, and showing them why they need to practice enough to dot the bull at 30 yards for us to finish tuning their bow (at least the way i do it). i haven't yet heard the folks at the shop down the street put any of the responsibility on the new shooter, or explain to them why, and a lot of folks end up very upset their bows aren't tuned properly. - when until they can shoot more consistantly tuning their bow is really impossible.they think its like a rifle until someone explains it to them.

Thanks for the feedback so far everyone. If some of you guys don't mind sparing a couple minutes I would like some more feedback.

Iam a little surprised with the popularity of a couple manufactures and would like to see if the trend continues....

Right on. My main purpose for starting this thread :)I know what all I think is best but I guess that doesn't really matter a whole lot in the big picture. I am not one of those no, no , no thats junk, buy one of these guys. Besides, I wouldn't carry something I thought was not high quality anyhow. So I guess that was a null point too ;)

Rob

I will PM you about your calls if and when I do go through with this.

Gibblet

I know what you are saying. We do have some nice shops around here but I believemost all lack in customer service and personality.

Mobow

Where you headed to here in Ohio?
