Hog Hunts

I am interested in going on a hog hunt and wondered if anybody has gone on a hunt with either Cold Brook Hunts or Big Boar Lodge in Homer NY? Any info would be great Thanks Pete

RE: Hog Hunts

I have not personally, but have known several people who have. Basically, it is 3000 acres surrounded by a high fence, packed full of all sortsof game. (Cold Brook) The other place you speak of I cannot comment on.
To me, its not hunting, to others it is.
Everyone I knowwho has gone there has killed a hog though, and they seem to be decent size and decently fun...
Not for me, I would rather go south and hunt there.

RE: Hog Hunts

Shooting, killing, harvesting, slaughter ............ NOT hunting. Either one of those places fits the bill of canned hunting IMO

Big Boar Lodge is only 250 frickin acres stuffed with

Russian Wild Boar
Spanish Goat
Angora Goat
Ibex Goat
Merino Ram
Corsican Ram
Mouflon Ram
Texas Dall Ram
Black Hawaiian
Aoudad (African Sheep)
Whitetail Deer
European Fallow Deer
Japanese Sika Deer (four varieties)
Rocky Mt. Elk
Indian Axis Deer
European Red Stag
Buffalo
Black Buck Antelope

ON 250 FRICKIN ACRES ?!!

But .......... on second though, they might be a sponsor here, so can't go bashing the practice of pen and shoot too much, can we ?
