new arrows

Anyone shot this new Easton arrow, the Axis, I think?

Supposed to be a carbon shaft with an aluminum coating and incorporate the positives of both.

I believe you are referring to the Full Metal Jacket. They aren't as good as the Axis, IMO. Initial testing we have done indicates that they don't penetrate as well as the Axis and they aren't as tough. Personally, if I were choosing between the 2, I would go with the Axis.

With carbon arrows you will get better penetration because they are smaller in diameter and they straighten out a lot faster than aluminums do down range. Also they don't flex as much as the aluminums do on impact.
Go to www.carbonexpressarrows.com and check out the slow motion videos.

thanks mobowhuntr. Full Metal Jackets-couldn't remember exactly what they were called.

In the past I've shot Gold Tips and then on a whim and a buddies rec I picked up ICSs last year and was very happy. I try to keep an eye on new stuff that pops up.

Thanks for the feed back guys.
