old age;)
That's when it hurts whether your shooting the bow or not. :D Could be a rotator cuff.

Guess we can rule out old age. Could be rotator cuffs. I damaged one at 16 and the other the next year. Both wrestling, both the same move. I think it may have been against the same guy. Mine was pretty much instantly knowing but I think you can also gradually tear them. I never had mine fixed and they usually don't bother me but sometimes raising my arm above my head I can feel a bit. I haven't had too much problem from shooting. Maybe just a tad.

you could be shooting a bow with to much poundage and when pushing out with the left it can hurt

had the same problem 4 years ago and found out that i tore my rotator cuff during football seasonand had to have an artroscopic surgery on it now i am fine and dandy and feel great while shooting.

Could be rotator cuff, could be pulled tendons, could be bursitis, could be nothing. Head your happy butt to the Dr. and get it fixed.

It could be too much poundage, too much shooting or a combination of both. I had the same thing happen and got tendonitis in my shoulder. So I went from 82 lbs to 64 lbs, gave my shoulder a rest, and it healed.

when I first started shooting it did that to me 2. I'm not sure why and may never b sure why. It doesn't bother me anymore but man, for those first 3-4 weeks that I first picked up a bow it bothered me. I think it had to do with getting the shoulder in shape. If you've been shooting for a long time i'd have to agree with the rotator cuff probs.
