Pigs are tough animals, I definitely recommend a good fixed blade head like Slick Tricks, Muzzy Phantoms, Muzzys, Stingers.

Hey I'm new here and thought I would just jump right in and give my .02.

Broadheads for hogs should be, Stout, sharp and accurate. I like Wac'em 100, Rocky Mountain Iron head 100's and any of the Cut on contact ie, Magnus, Steel Force Razor cap. I have taken nearly 100 hogs with archery gear and the stouter thay are and sharper the better.

Shot placement is key, keep it low and forward. Lower and more forward than you would shoot deer or elk, kinda like where you would hold on bear.

Where ya hunting?

That's in East Texas right? I'm from Longview originally.

Good luck.

Like the others said, they need to be tough and sharp. I would steer clear of any of the mechanicals on hogs. They would be fine on the little porkers but sure wouldn't want to have one on when that 250lb boar walked by.

Are you hunting the Tawokoni WMA? I live in Gun Barrel City so I'm not to far from you. I used to hunt up there before got on my lease. Good luck and let us know how you do.
