brian1966 02-17-2006 02:05 PM

RE: hand made press

I have 40.00 in it.

RE: hand made press

wow thats really good, how much would one at some store cost??

BerwindaleBoy 02-17-2006 02:15 PM

RE: hand made press

I don't imagine you would be interested in selling one like it would you? If it were 100$ or less I would buy one.

RE: hand made press

you might make some profit if you make some to sell. I may be interested if the price is right.

brian, thats a great job. How do the straps attach? Are they velcro that you wrap around the bow? Very nice

brian1966 02-17-2006 04:51 PM

RE: hand made press

straps are just a 3000 pound. Like on the apple press.

I got to make me one now. I just like welding, any excuse is a good excuse.

I'm thinking about welding me up one too. Where did you get the "reel" and thewheels for the limbs?

turtleshell 02-28-2006 02:24 PM

RE: hand made press

Great job! I'd be hesitant about making them for other people unless you're into replacing parts or something because I could definitely see someone not using it correctly then blaming the manufacturer, in this case you, if something bad were to happen. But if you sell me one real cheap I will guarantee that I won't do that:D

wineguy 03-06-2006 05:51 PM

RE: hand made press

Dude, make em and sell em. You could make a good profit if you only have $40 into it. Sell them for about $20 less than the ones in Cabelas, you'd make a killing!!

Looks Awesome!

(Like dohcrxl siad, what are the wheels from? If you don't mind).

I like it. I might try to make one myself if I run across the right steel for it.

statjunk 03-07-2006 02:36 PM

RE: hand made press

Did you get some of the parts for free or had them laying around? I can't believe that you put that together for just $40. Doesn't seem reasonable.

Great job! Looks professional and well thought out.

Tom

Those parts look very much like and probably are the rollers and winch off a boat trailer. I'm gonna get some and weld me up one too. Probably wont look as professionally done as brian's but when it's together I'll post pix as well.
