$20 for adeer tag in ND, doesn't matter if it's bow, rifle, buck, doe, all are same price.

I haven't read all the responses, so forgive me if I'msaying something someone else has already covered...

I know Illinois has hampered their "economic impact" by raising their non-resident archery tags to ridiculous rates. I know it's effecting local businessmen, because I hear small business owners complaining incessantly.

To make your paper the best it could be, be sure to interview and include quotes from area hotel owners, restaurant owners and others that would be directly affected by those costs you referred to.

When I first started hunting Illinois four or five years ago, a non-resident tag cost me $120. This past year's was over $400 by the time I bought the mandatory small-game permit and habitat stamp. You do the math, but that's an outrageous figure, whatever it comes out to be percentage-wise! Compare it to a typical inflation rate, and you'll see it's truly ridiculous.

PA is $20 for adult hunting license
$16 archery
$11 muzzleloader
$11 bear
$15 Duck stamp (i think)
$3 migratory game bird (the last time i bought it 2 yrs ago)
$6 a piece for doe tags
$21 if you want another gobbler tag this year
these are resident prices if my mind is correct.

You do understand of course that hunting licenses for INSTATE are still one of the best buys in the world don't you. They have NO economic impact to speak of. It's not enough to keep the dwindling personnel they have now. That said, if you really want to go through all the states...set up a data base and cruise all the sites. A good place is to use(GOD I hate to mention him) Jackie Bushwachers site. It has a link to all the states. IF yo browse the states you'll find license cost etc.
