Montana Gold Bow Sights

Just wondering? I bought one last year and put it on my bow and loved it. Sure it wasn't all the sight but after putting it on I started shooting tighter groups and could focus on the spot better. It is different with the little diamond shape horizontal pins, and I have the pins close together, never had a sight that I could get the pins that close.

Anyways, was wondering if anyone else uses one? Don't hear much about them and just wondering how many have used them or use them and their thoughts?[8D]

I had a dusk devil a couple years back.

I thought it was a very nice sight. Pins were very bright compaired to the other sights on the market at the time. I had the micro pins (.019). The Dusk Devil 2 looks like a pretty nice sight with the longer sight bar.

It's just anymore I look for more options on my sights that Montana doesn't offer such as 2nd and 3rd axis adjustable and micro adjust pins.

buckeyebuckhntr (from Ohio myself)

I have the Dusk Devil II and it is sweet. I added a light so I could see better in a blind when hunting turkeys. I will admit they had me scratching my bald head with the first adjustment you have to make, once you attach it to bow, then you got to get the cant right to get the diamonds and four points, that one took me a little bit, hey I am old! Anyway after I got that figured out, it was a piece of cake. It is the first time I ever had pins so close, then I guess the Mathews shoots flatter than I thought and I wasn't getting what I needed out of the Trophy Ridge. All I know shooting much better......well when I am home! [8D]

I have the Dusk Devil and love it. I used it for a year and then bought a Spott Hogg, as I figured everyone should have one. Used the Hogg for half a season and off it came. Went back to the Devil and won't switch again.

I mounted the Skylight and tried a few shots. Couldn't ask for any more visible pins. The ones on my sight are.030. Don't know if others are available. I nearly used up all of the elevation adjustment to get close to sighted in. One thing is I really had to really jack down on hex wrench to get tight enough to get play and vibration out of sight. Over all I think the sight is OK just maybe the tolerances are not as fine as some other sights. I'm gonna keep trying it out.

hawg dawg now that surprises me cause I didn't have any trouble with mine. Sure I will have to tweak slightly when I get home, but they stay tightened down. I do check every once and a while because even with the Sims stuff I have there still is vibration. But never have had one come loose really!

mex, doubt if I will use anything else either. Once I realized how good my groups were, and I guess it helped with aiming, I decided i was glad I bought it!
