Carbon Shaft Performance

Time for season's report on the current carbon arrow technology. Any success stories? Any failures? Questionable performances? Shattering?

I seem to have issue with those carbon arrow always finding twigs and branches between the bow and the deer??? No matter how clear a shot I have, they're like "wood seeking missles". I haven't used an alluminum as a test, but it CAN'T be user error...:) Yeah, RIGHT!

I used a Gold Tip Carbon arrow with 100 Steelheads and got a complete pass through on a doe at 20+yards. I was shooting 60 pounds out of a Mathews MQ1.

Although I have had excellent results with Carbon Express 400 shafts my buddy claims the Nitro Stingers are better. I don't know how they could yield any better results than what I have experienced with the Carbon Express shafts. They fly true and are very durable.

Mine are not a pure carbon they are Easton ACC's and I love them they are pricy but I have taken 4 deer with the same arrow to me that is very durable.
