Ever tried shooting Pop-up 3d targets?

I shot a tourney in September it was a blast and super challenging. The local sports shop is having a shoot over three different weekends. You wil only have to qualify once if you do not get bumped from the championship round. First shoot Feb. 18th.

Popup 3D is what we have around here. It's cool.

Yep... Did it in basic training; targets were popping up all the way out to 300 yards! :D Didn't miss a single one of them... with an M-16! ;)

Never had the pleasure of shooting pop ups, but like it we shot standing targets in the dark where they'd throw a light randomly and give you 6 seconds to shoot before the light went off, that was fun. I've always wanted to do the Buckmasters pop up tourneys.

sounds like a blast, I have not seen any popups in Michigan yet. I have seen a few running targets at different places, these are fun to hit! metal targets are good fun too! Gets the testoserin (spelling sorry) flowing, what the hell its just an arrow if you miss the kill zone!!

I have shot both pop-ups and time lighted 3-D. Many years ago at the Early Sports Expo in Bloomsburg they had a shoot where a spot light would be lit on one of 20 targets and the shooter had 5 seconds to impact the target. I also shot the Buckmasters shoot in King or Prussia in 93. I really like pop-up shooting.

Never heard of 3D pop up, is there any website that describes it and would anybody no if any ranges in NY use them?

I would really like to shoot pop up 3D. I have never heard of any where around here that has any tournaments or even fun shoots in the pop up format.

Seems the Buckmasters shoots are always down in the SE part of the country.

Yes seems a lot of shoots are well, down south from Northern NY near the border with Canada[8D]but I am curious if it is just getting started or if it is catching on, or if it is just a phase or novelty and will soon pass?
