RE: Lost bow

Dang, but you know lately, UPS and the mail service haven't been doing to hot. And what is worse they keep raising their prices to provide "better service". I would settle, like in this case service that delivers something paid for to my door! [:'(][:@]

I ordered a Switchback LD ! It would not be so bad if I had not been
told it would be here 3 different times and know he tells me it has
been lost in transit to his shop!!! I don't guess it would be as bad,
but I have never ordered a bow that I have had to wait this long on before.

I have been having problems with UPS as well. Here's what happened to me last night:

Got home at 4:45pm, saw the UPS man had been by for a third time. I had missed him twice before. There was a note on the door that said he had come by at 5pm today! Yet, my watch said 4:45pm. So I made a quick call in and caught him in his own lie. Needless to say, UPS called the truck driver and told him to get his butt over to my apt ASAP.

For the rates that they charge, wouldn't you think that eventually you would get better service?

JLmoore1956 02-01-2006 05:32 AM

RE: Lost bow

[:@]yes you would, them and the post office. What i think is silly, I have had high dollar stuff, says right there, 500.00, etc, and they leave it sitting at the door; yet a 5.00 item they will ring and beat the door till you sign for it..... obviously, and not all, but not the brightest bulbs work there!

RE: Lost bow

I use to drive for UPS about 8 years ago. The loaders would load my truck to the gills and by the time I would finish my route I would already be into overtime and thats when the center manager would start calling me and giving me all kinds of crap about being on overtime. Just to finish my route on time I would skip lunch. I knew alot of drivers that would driver release packages where they weren't supposed to and also they would skip deliveries just to get back in time. Stuff like that happens all the time. I ended up telling the center manager to stick this job up his ass!! It also amazed me how many people ordered stuff off the internet or qvc everyday. It seemed like I was stopping at the same houses everyday.

RE: Lost bow

The only problem with them dropping off the package at some one else's house is the dealer, Mountain top archery, told me that the packagewas
comming to him COD.So they can not just drop it off anywhere can
they?

I feel for ya--that does SUCK!Your dealer have anything to say about it?

Kanga 02-01-2006 11:03 AM

RE: Lost bow

Sorry to hear what has happened.

But it should only be a set back just get the dealer to order you another one.
He can not ask you to pay for another one cause you have not recieved the one you have paid for, if he does not want to order you another one then just hand him the reciept and ask for your money back.

RE: Lost bow

That is too bad. Waiting isn't fun, especially when they make you prepay. On the brite side of things you could look at it as a sign. A sign saying..."This is another chance for you to bail out and get a BowTech". :D

holy crap!! that really really sucks man.[:@][:@][:@][:o][:o][:'(][:'(] hope you get it all worked out!

RE: Lost bow

Well be glad it was only a Switchback and not a grown up bow.[8D] I suspect somethings fishy here. Ask for the tracking code and check it out yourself on line. UPS doesn't loose $700 bows. Sounds like a shifty dealer sold your bow again.[&:] If he stammers, ask for a full refund and tell him you're taking the business somewhere else. Someone offered him more.

JLmoore1956 02-02-2006 07:27 AM

RE: Lost bow

uh, never thought of that, sounds plausible to me! [&o]

MasterBlaster 02-02-2006 07:43 AM

RE: Lost bow

I knowa guy (nota friend) that I used to work with that told me he had a freind that was a ups truck loader. He said he could get me video cameras for $75. Also other kindsof stuff. I told him that I wanted nothing to do with that crap. It wouldnt suprise me if a ups worker stole it. Empty box sounds perfect. Some guy takes it out of the box and retapes it. Seems like it would be hard to trace who took it out.

JLmoore1956 02-02-2006 07:14 PM

RE: Lost bow

I like DavidMil's concept too! Dealer re-sold!

gibblet 02-02-2006 08:16 PM

RE: Lost bow

now wait, if the ups man said the box was empty then the dealer never got the bow. the fishy part is someone on the mathews forum tracking down the driver. i'd do what someone suggested and call mathews and get your tracking #. if they will only give it to the shop-owner, go down there and have him call and get it. get a little control of the situation that way and you'll be in the loop along with everyone else.
