do you play video games when not hunting
 

just wondering how many of you play hunting games on line or xbox or play station and if so what ones . i play some of the deer hunter series online and some of the cabela's on my sons xbox.and once in a while i will play some fishing ones like bass mater or some thing. no where near as good as the real thing but i dont have the money to travel all over the world hunting all year

I play a NASCAR simulator with a large group of my friends. Great game. 3 years old and still best on the market.

Other than that, Madden every now and then when some buddies are over. Nothing these days compares to Mario 3, Zelda, and Double Dragon.

im a video game junkie....i have two boys that love them too,so i have lots of playing time.

I have only been playing one. Try Hunting Unlimited 3 on your PC. It's cheap and pretty unbelievable!!

That one is a good game!

I started with HU3, then I bought Cabela's Big Game 2006. I', kind of disapointed with that one. HU is a little more realisting when tracking game and what not. Several times the animals ran off the map and where not recoverable.

What I dont like about Cabela's is the difficulty in driving the vehicles and how easy that the game just "Shows Up." On one if the maps, I took a white tail buck at 1:00 in the after noon. I was able to stalk up on it and shoot it point blank.

Afre there any games out there that are more like "Simulators?"

Every hunting game I've played, even with the most realistic settings maxed, was still arcadish. I liked the "Deer Hunter" and "Big Game Hunter" titles of years back. Never tried the Cabela's game line though.
