Baking Soda

Any comments about using Baking Soda on clothing, around your stand etc... One hunter places his hunting clothes in a bag with Baking Soda and sprinkles it at his stand... He seems to think it works..Any experiences with Baking Soda? ... Thanks.

RE: Baking Soda

I have had good results using baking soda for years. I wash clothes in it, put some on my clothes, and wash up with it. Also there was a home made scent killer recipe on this board a few weeks back and it has baking soda in it. I am able to get within ten yards of deer regularly, so if the soda does'nt work, it sure isn't hurting!

I use baking soda all the time. I sprinkle some in a plastic bag and add my camo and shake it up. I store the bags in a big rubbermaid container in my truck in between uses. I've never had any problems with scent and it's very inexpensive. I still use the store bought spray for my boots, bow and whatnot but a bottle will last me all season.
