Switchback XT-Just picked it up

Let me know what all you XT owners think of your bows so far. I just picked mine up last Friday and have shot about 20 times and this thing is smooth! I am coming from a 2004 Mathews Classic which was a nice shooter, but this is a big step up!

I was going to pick one up with the money I got off of ebay for my Outback, but decided to buy a boat instead.

I'll pick up an XT when the price comes down this summer.

I Looooooooooooooooove mine!

But I'm also coming from a 1998 PSE Firflite LC. A good bow in its day but much heavier and longer. I managed to tame the "kick" pretty well with a lot of Simms material (PSE NV system, limbsavers, S-coil stabilizer) but that made it even heavier and still no where near as smooth to draw.

I haven't even added any limbsavers or thunderblox and it's quiet as a mouse.

My only problem now is with the reduced weight and nearly 9 inches less ATA, I'm not used to how easy it is to move around. I find I need to concentrate on holding steady a little more, which might not be a bad thing! A bit more stabilizer might be in the works for me.

I was at the pro-shop the other day and compared the XT to my Switchback. Other than it being somewhat shorter (31"vs 33"), and hence a little lighter, I didn't see what all the fuss is about the XT?
The Switchback is an awesome bow by itself, I guess they just came out with a few more "flavors" of this bow!!!

A buddy of mine has one and he loves his. He did file down his grip however.

My Outback brand new in January was $699 when they came out. I picked it up in June for $549, fresh out of the box. Once the initial "OMG" factor wears off (like with any new product), the price will come down. Besides, I'm not shooting 3d this winter/spring...and I won't need a bow until October..why not wait and save money?
