I'm curioous how many guys out there in the archery world are gonna buy a new bow this spring withtax refund money even though their current bow is perfectly fine.I figure this board would be a good representation.

RE: New bow with your Tax return??
Good idea, but then again, the wife probably already has the tax return spent and she doesn't even know if we are getting a return. :D

RE: New bow with your Tax return??
[/align] I have been thinking about a target bow, but I think I'll just keep using my hunting bow for now. I'm right on the verge of 300 5 spot, I know it! Hopefully soon I will have some new Prostrings on it. For now I'm happy, but I may still get one for targets this summer. Here it is in target trim. Why would I need another? ![]() |
RE: New bow with your Tax return??
i'm gonna get me a new setup with some of my return. i have two little tax deductions i'm going to be taking full advantage of for the next 18 years or so. probably be replacing the Brute Force with a Tribute or maybe an Allegiance.

RE: New bow with your Tax return??
I bought a used target setup with my work bonus. The taxes went to pay for other taxes and we also got to pay off a vehicle with it. I guess thats one joy a rich person will never know. How good it feels to make the last car payment.:DHeres a pic of my target setup

[&:]You must be single! A decision like that takes a uninamous vote if you are married, and there is always a vote "nay"! [&o]

RE: New bow with your Tax return??
I'm shooting too good with my Bowtech Justice now to get a new bow. Not only that, but since I work in Iowa live in Wisconsin, I have to pay taxes to both. So normally my Iowa refund is just enough to cover what I have to pay into Wisconsin.
|
RE: New bow with your Tax return??
I'm more than willing if you can give me some advice on how to run that one by the wife![:-]

RE: New bow with your Tax return??
Tax return? Pshaaaa....
So far, my wife and I owe (believe it or not) a measily $7 bucks in taxes!!! We haven't received the TurboTax update yet for college tuition and/or books. Once we get that updated, then we can claim close to $400 bucks in college books alone! If we can claim full tuition, then we'd could claim over $1800!!! Ugh.... I hate doing taxes!!! [:'(] |
RE: New bow with your Tax return??
I usually buy a gun with mine.
|
RE: New bow with your Tax return??
Yeah I wish. I joked about buying a Bowtech Tribute with it, but I think the wife has new furniture in her eyes. I told her its awfully hard to put meat on the table with a chase lounge, but she didnt see it my way.

RE: New bow with your Tax return??
Really dont thing the need to act this way, think this one needs to stop. All I know, most men I know if they made that kind of decision would be using the tax money for alimony or child support! [:@]

RE: New bow with your Tax return??
I spent mine on a new car. I just bought a 2004 WRX wagon. It's awfully quick and fun in the snow. My fiance hates it too.........:D
The rest goes towards paying loans and in the wedding/house fund. |

I'd sure like to, but there's a lot of other things I WANT...and the wife wants to put a bunch into our 100 yr old house...I'm not sure what, if anything I'll get. :D We got a nice chunk back this year...but then again, I have 5 kids and we take 0 deductions just so we get a big lump back...it's a stupid man's savings account.
