Pics of my 06 BowTech Old Glory
Hey guys,
I picked up my 2006 BowTech Old Glory (29"@70#s)today and I figured that I would post some pics. It isn't set up yet, I just threw on a rest and sight until I get my accessories. I am putting a Spott Hogg Hogg-It sight on it with a Montana Trap Door drop-away arrow rest. I will probablly order a 6" Stealth Stabilizer dipped in Mossy Oak Obsession for it. I still have to get a peep for it (Fletcher Tru Peep) and I will be adding a STS system. As far as arrows go, I will be shooting 28.5" Gold Tip Pro Hunter 75/95's out of this bow. The birth certificate said that it shot 303 f.p.s. with a 350 grain arrow at 70#s with a 29" draw length (fast mod). Thats with the hush kit, a single brass nock, and 2 rubber eliminator buttons (probablly 6 f.p.s. speed lossfor the hush kit and eliminator buttons). Here she is beside my 2005 BowTech Allegiance... ![]() and here she is all by herself :) ![]() The more I shoot this bow the more I like it. It doesn't seem to be as quiet as my Allegiance but my Allegiance also has a STS system, Simms Limbsaver Ultras, and a 8" Stealth Stabilizer on it. It is incredibly steady in the hand and just sits there during and after the shot. The camo on the bow has definetly been improved, no white spots and it just seems as though it is gonna stand up to some punishment. The camo cable guard rod is awsome looking but I am still sketchy on this as it seems that the cable slide rubbing against it might wear the film off, I guess time will tell. When I get her entirely set-up I will post more pics. |

Sweeeeeeeeet!!! Have a question for you..........are you not happy with the Bowtech hush kit? Is taking off the hush kit gaining you speed or is just quieter using Limbsavers? My Patriot is extremely quiet with the hush kit, although I know Bowtech string silencers will slow it down some.

Cougar,
I am very impressed with the BowTech Hush Kit. I usually add Limbsaver Ultras because I think they perform a little better. The string silencers seem to work well but I just hate replacing them every couple hundred shots, thats why I just put a STS system on and don't worry about it, its saves money in the long run as well as saves a few f.p.s. in speed. I'll leave the string silencers on until they fly off but after that it seems pointless to add new ones when the STS will get the same quieting effect and it doesn't need to be replaced every few hundred shots. |
