Call me a new........................Bowtechie!

Yes, I am now an owner of a Bowtech. After much looking, shooting and debating I purchased a brand new 2005 Bowtech Patriot. Although the binary cam system is newer technology, I just preferred everything about this bow. I also put a limit on how much I would spend on a new bow and since this was an '05 that my local Bowtech dealer had in stock, it came under my budget which even made it an easier decision.:D Its a 60-70 lb. model and I can honestly say pulling 70 lbs. with this bow is easier than pulling 65 with my old hunting bow. While at the shop the owner tweaked the draw stop somewhat. It worked out perfectly so that the letoff is around 70% and the draw still fits me to a tee, because I just don't like 80%.

A name change may be in store soon.............we will see.;)

Congrats on the new purchase! I know what you mean about the letoff. I prefer65% -70% myself.

Congrats on the Patriot, sounds like you made a good decision buying on 05 at a much reduced price. Whatever you paid it was worth it.
I know you still want a switchback, but after shooting your Patriot for a while you may change your mind. I tried out a SB when they first came out and there's no way it was going to "replace" my Patriot. Too close to the same machine for the switch. In my arms the Pat draws easier too.

I put an STS & no-peep on mine last summer and was able to remove all the "stuff" from the string. Now she only has a loop and is still quieter than most out there. I even had a new Trykon owner shoot it & comment how nice it was and the wished he's of shot one before he ruled out Bowtech.

jjimmy, been shooting the Martin since May of 2000. It was a very good reliable bow with few problems. Only replaced the cables and strings a couple of times and the limb bolt washers once. What I thought was possibly a cracked limb on the ole Martin turned out to be just a defect in the paint finish that showed itself after some wear.

Matt, nah its not your computer.[8D]

Mo Bowhunter, hopefully I can shoot it halfway decent because its a better bow than I am.

Bowfanatic, no valley at the 65% range but at near 70-72% the valley is just about right.

YF, yes its been a long time and I hope my Patriot is as good as yours has been.

Coug ,you made a good choice and also saved a few buck's to boot ,when you compare the Patriot with the new bow's out there which ever brand you look at ,you'll be a very satisfied customer ,you got yourself a premium bow at half the price .
Congrat's a get shooting ,just remember to let us know what you think of her .

Gotta love the Bowtechs. On my second one, and won't ever switch back.
