RE: Do you name your stands?

I like to name each one I hunt "First time In", that's my most successful tactic anyway!

Some of my spots are named:
"Where lefty26 got his first deer"
"Where lefty26 got his second deer"
"Where lefty26 got his third deer"
"Where lefty26 got his fourth deer"
"Where lefty26 got his fifth deer"
.
.
.
.
"Where lefty26 got his eleventh deer"
and the list keeps growing!

RE: Do you name your stands?

and all this time I thought I was the only one. Here's a few of ours:

the back stand (seems like everyone has one of these)
Sears Tower (look behind you and down and you know why it's called this)
The Arena
Devils Den
Old Rickety (can't get the noise out of that thing for the life of me)
Coyote Corner (plenty of gutpiles around it...one of my personal favorites)
Bee hive stand
Observatory tower (the one you sit in and watch the deer too far away)

RE: Do you name your stands?

GREAT TOPIC.....Lets see....we have The Love Nest (for reasons I can't say), The Nose Bleed(because its up over 25 feet and on the side of a steep hill), The Log Cabin(because it looks like one),Bottom Stand(because its in the bottom of a draw), The Apple Tree Stand(obvious reasons), The Hilton(because of the leather seats with arm rests that swivel), and we plan on building one in a field with big openings around and we plan on naming it The Sniper Tower. These are all homemade treestands and ground blind types. Oh, by the way I don't name my portables.
