heavy arrows
I've been hunting for a while and finally got into the tuning and speed part of the archery world. I shoot an oldOLD pse instinctivly witha hunting arrowabout 650 grains. thats a heavy arrow in my book. before i switched to muzzy 125's it was about 725give or take a few. It's funny to hear people talk about 450 being a heavy arrow. I'm looking to buy a reflex excursion this spring and plan to shoot arrows no lighter than 450. It's all personal opinion though. Theirs nothing wrong with light arrows, but they do get alot heavier than 450. what's everybody else shooting.

RE: heavy arrows
Carbon Tech Whitetail XP 65/80 with wraps and 100 grain broadheads. 443 grains total weight. With my bow and DL, yes I could easily shoot heavier arrows, but I look at it this way. I already have way more KE to get a pass through, so I might as well take advantage of a flat trajectory to help in minor ranging errors. I kept my arrow just heavy enough to give me the proper spine and great accuracy, but light enough to have a flat shooting arrow. This is that balance we have talked about in the past.
