DROPPED a buck over new years

He was quartering away at 25 yds. Iput it behind the ribs and he just dropped right there. He kicked for about a minute but was out. I was stunned but obviously happy not to have to go through the mind games involved with tracking, even if I did know my shot was good. He is technically a cull buck for my lease, so I still get a trophy to take :D.He is a 9 frame with kicker on his left G2, he aged at 6 1/2 and dressed at 140 lbs. I took him from a tripod I have setup next to a big clearing. I watched him a couple of times over the season. He was dominate overa few big younger bucks sohe was a good deer totake from the herd.

The arrow could have ridden up a bit and caught the spinal cord where it comes down in to the body cavity. A buddy of mine caught it this year on a buck he shot and I was like, "wow, the spinal cord goes that low?" And sure enough, it does.

A thanks to Rack Attack for that bit of information as I didnt realize it at the time. Here is alink that shows how low the spinal cord is where it meets the body from the neck. The spinal cord is in blue.

Anyhow, congrats on the deer. Like to see a pic.
